CHEST : Take the chest measurement at the fullest part of your chest. Pass the measuring tape directly through the armpit and across the fullest part of your chest while keeping it at the same level on the back.
Stand in a relaxed upright position and breathe our while measuring.
WAIST : Take the waist measurement at the level of your navel.
Stand in a relaxed upright position and breathe our while measuring.
HIP : Please measure around the fullest part of the seat. Do not forget to empty your trouser pockets before taking this measurement.
JACKET LENGTH : Take the jacket length measurement at the front of the body. Place the measuring tape on the shoulder seam (close to the collar) and measure down to the point where you want your jacket to end. If you have a well fitting jacket, measure from the seam of the shoulder down to the desired length.
FRONT WIDTH : The front width is measured at chest level from the left-hand side intersection of arm and chest to the right-hand side of the same intersection. Please keep your arms straight and close to your body while being measured.
BACK WIDTH : The back width is measured at chest level from the left-hand side intersection of arm and back to the right-hand side of the same intersection. Please keep your arms straight and close to your body while being measured.
ARMHOLE : The armhole is measured around the shoulder. The measuring tape should pass directly over the shoulder and be tightly fitting.
BICEPS : Measure the biceps at its widest part. Usually, this is exactly the middle of the upper arm. Please relax your biceps while being measured.
Tip : Right-handed persons should have this measurement taken from their right arm while left-handed persons should have it taken from the left arm.
SHOULDER : Measure the shoulder from ones shoulders end to the other one. The measuring tape should be held horizontally and follow the shoulder contours.
Please notice that the sleeve measurement is taken from the starting point of the shoulder width measurement.
SLEEVE LENGTH : The sleeve length is measured exactly from the starting point where the shoulder width was measured from before. If you straighten your arm the measuring tape should end at the base of the thumb.
Tip : If you want the jacket's sleeves to be slightly shorter than the sleeves of your shirt please subtract approx. 3/4 of an inch.
TROUSER LENGTH : Take the measurement of the trouser length from the top of the waistband down to the floor.
Tip : It is best if you wear shoes and measure the distance from the waistband to the shoe sole.
WAISTBAND : It is best if you wear comfortably fitting trousers and take the measurement directly above the waistband. Make sure that the measuring tape is held closely to the body while measuring.
CROTCH LENGTH: Pass the measuring tape from the upper waistband at the front through the crotch to the upper waistband at the back to measure the length of your crotch. Make sure that the measuring tape is held closely to your body while measuring.
THIGH : Take the measurement at the fullest part ot your thigh right below the crotch. Pass the tape loosely around the thigh so that there is enough space for one finger between tape and thigh.
KNEE : Take the measurement at the widest part of your knee.
TROUSER HEM : The width of the trouser hem is measured around the back of your heel to the desired position on the front.
